Mechanical Assembler / Manufacturing Operator B

As a Mechanical Assembler / Manufacturing Operator B , you’ll work with mechanical components, operate production equipment, and help keep our manufacturing process running smoothly and efficiently. Your work directly supports product performance, customer satisfaction, and the success of the entire team.
What You’ll Do
Assemble mechanical components with accuracy, following clear work instructions and using hand and power tools.
Prepare your workstation by reviewing job packets and gathering parts, tools, and materials.
Operate production equipment including deburring, grinding, and test stands.
Inspect parts and assemblies using visual checks, automated measuring tools, and final test equipment.
Support troubleshooting with Engineering when equipment or product issues arise.
Document quality and production data such as scrap tags and inspection forms.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
Contribute to daily production goals and collaborate with your team to keep operations running smoothly.
What You Bring
Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or mechanical setting.
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and job packets.
Basic mechanical aptitude, including deburring, grinding, and machine operation.
Ability to interpret blueprints or technical documentation .
At least 6 months of manufacturing experience (mechanical assembly preferred).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to stand for the full shift and perform repetitive tasks safely.
Clear communication skills for escalating issues and working with Leads, Supervisors, and Engineering.
Bonus Skills
Previous mechanical assembly experience beyond the minimum requirement.
Experience operating test stands or similar testing equipment.
Familiarity with documenting production and quality data.
Experience in a team‑based, metrics‑driven production environment.
Comfort working around oils, cleaners, coolants, and moving machinery.

Yo ur Work Environment
You’ll work in a clean, modern, air‑conditioned manufacturing facility with well‑maintained equipment and organized work areas. Expect:
Standing for most of the shift
Working around machinery, oils, cleaners, and coolants
Required PPE: eye protection, slip‑resistant safety shoes (steel‑toe recommended and reimbursed), and hearing protection in designated areas
A strong emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and teamwork

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $20.30/hr.
