CNC Machinist - 1st and 2nd Opening - Direct Hire

Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join our team in a dynamic job shop environment equipped with brand new machinery. Our facility is booked out for years, offering a stable and engaging work setting. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines with maximum efficiency, ensuring high-quality production and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Review the Production Part Machine line up (schedule) on a daily basis.

• Review the Machine Operator Instructions and Workzone to understand the tasks to be completed on each part.

• Operate the machine(s) to achieve maximum throughput and utilization, and inform management of anticipated and actual completion times.

• Inform management of anticipated conflicts for future operations.

• Perform inspections on the machine to ensure parts machined match current data and meet tolerance requirements.

• Perform inspections off the machine to verify the part thickness.

• Clean and wrap the machined part to prepare it for shipment.

• Update reasons for idle time on a daily basis and participate in activities to improve throughput or utilization.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Complete required preventative maintenance activities.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of CNC experience

• Knowledge of G&M Codes

• Program editing skills

• Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with horizontal boring mills and vertical milling machines

• Ability to work in a team setting to ensure maximum efficiency

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a job shop environment with brand new machinery. The facility operates on two shifts: the first shift from 6 am to 4 pm and the second shift from 5 pm to 3 am, with each shift working 50-55 hours a week. Operators work under the guidance of applicable supervisors and are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, meeting or beating department utilization and throughput goals.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $66560.00/yr.
