Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a team based in Westport, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage core accounting activities accurately while partnering with internal stakeholders on purchasing and resale transactions. The role calls for strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and hands-on experience working with bookkeeping systems to maintain reliable financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records to support timely collection activity.

• Assist with accounts payable tasks by reviewing invoices, organizing payment details, and providing backup support as needed.

• Reconcile cash activity and bank transactions to ensure balances are complete, accurate, and up to date.

• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, track trends, and support informed business decisions.

• Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate the financial aspects of purchasing goods and reselling inventory.

• Maintain bookkeeping records within Sage and QuickBooks environments, including support for QuickBooks Online and related accounting workflows.

• Help ensure accounting documentation is organized and available for reporting, review, and audit readiness. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of day-to-day accounting processes.

• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks and familiarity working in Sage accounting software.

• Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank or cash reconciliations.

• Ability to review financial information carefully and perform accurate data analysis.

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with teams involved in sales, purchasing, or inventory-related activities.

• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
