Job Title: General Labor – Precast Concrete

Job Description

This role focuses on supporting precast concrete operations by safely loading, unloading, and moving materials in an outdoor environment. You will perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, to ensure concrete products are handled, stored, and prepared efficiently. The position requires working outside in direct sun and varying weather conditions while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload precast concrete materials and products safely, including lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Handle, move, and position precast concrete components in the yard and work areas as directed.

  • Work outdoors in direct sun and in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety.

  • Assist with general construction-related labor tasks to support precast concrete production and yard operations.

  • Operate basic tools and equipment as required to handle and prepare precast concrete materials, following all safety procedures.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient operation.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads to complete daily tasks and meet production needs.

  • Adhere to all safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices.

  • Support loading and unloading activities throughout the shift to ensure materials are ready for transport or further processing.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding general labor tasks throughout the workday.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Comfort working outdoors under direct sun and in various weather conditions.

  • Experience with general labor in construction, concrete, or similar outdoor work environments.

  • Ability to work the full shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM as needed.

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions to handle materials and equipment safely.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish; bilingual Spanish and another language is also acceptable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in precast concrete, construction, or outdoor industrial labor is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment used in handling concrete materials.

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to perform repetitive physical tasks.

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position with a standard schedule of 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with required availability to work on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM as needed. The work takes place outdoors in a precast concrete yard and production environment, often under direct sun and in varying weather conditions. The role involves frequent heavy lifting, standing, walking, and manual material handling throughout the shift. The environment is industrial and construction-oriented, with exposure to concrete materials, equipment, and machinery, and it emphasizes strict adherence to safety practices and proper use of protective gear.

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
