Job Description
This role focuses on safely operating overhead and gantry cranes to move, position, and stage heavy materials within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will support production flow by transporting raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to strict safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operate overhead and/or gantry cranes to lift, move, and position materials and products safely within the facility.
Perform pre-shift inspections of cranes, rigging, and lifting equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
Load and unload flatbeds, trailers, and production areas while preventing damage to materials and equipment.
Coordinate material movement with production, shipping, and receiving teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
Use rigging equipment such as slings, chains, and hooks to secure loads for transport.
Assist as a groundman or spotter by guiding crane movements using hand signals and maintaining safe lift zones.
Stage raw materials and finished goods in designated locations to support production and shipping schedules.
Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed to support operations.
Inspect loads for stability and ensure proper weight distribution prior to lifting and moving materials.
Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies related to crane operation and material handling.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
