Job Description

As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for safely performing labor-intensive tasks, including trenching and pipe installation. The position includes learning to operate construction equipment when needed and making smart, timely decisions to protect project interests and financial stability. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values taking care of equipment, building excellent customer relations, and delivering quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Execute tasks as workload demands with dedication and precision.
Properly operate, grease, and maintain construction equipment as needed.
Learn and refine fine grading skills for curbs, gutters, slabs, sidewalks, etc., with accuracy to +/-0.10’.
Interpret blueprints and contribute to the construction and completion of projects.
Perform maintenance tasks in the yard or shop as needed.
Safely and efficiently dig around utilities.
Essential Skills
Relevant experience in utility work (2 years preferred for experienced candidates).
Willingness to learn and operate various types of construction equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in growing technical skills.
Knowledge of grade staking and laser equipment operation.
Commitment to safety and the ability to work around utilities responsibly.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47,840.00 - $54,080.00 per year.

Most benefits offered below start at the employee's 90 day employment date.
Primary Care benefit - (not health insurance, no major medical - covers primary care only) $79/month per person. The employee coverage is paid after one year of service. Employees must pay for any dependents.
Life Insurance - term/$150,000 - paid by Employer.
Retirement - offered through the Colorado SecureSavings program, 5% of gross wages, no company match.
Vacation - one week paid after 1 year of service. two weeks after 2 years of service.
Paid holidays - Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day.
Sick Time - effective upon employment, Colorado standards - 1 hour for every 30 worked, up to a max of 48 hours/year. No carry over.
