What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an education and research-focused location.

• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.

• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted locations, verifying access when required and assisting students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors with directions and general information.

• Support site operations by communicating clearly with staff and first responders, completing incident reports, and following post orders for after-hours access, deliveries, and/or facility checks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
