DESCRIPTION
This position is open to candidates in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; and Jacksonville, FL , with a #Hybrid schedule (3 days in office).
You will play a critical role within the Legal team , ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies in the United States and Canada . This position leads impartial investigations , gathers and analyzes facts, and delivers findings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage/hour claims; deliver clear findings and next steps.
Draft position statements in response to Department of Labor (DOL) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charges
Partner with legal counsel and internal stakeholders to support ongoing legal matters
Drive compliance initiatives and process improvements to ensure alignment with employment regulations and company policies
Serve as a subject matter expert providing guidance and training to HR on investigations
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of and experience with employment laws and regulations , including but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, ADEA
Expertise and ability to investigate in complex, unclear, and stressful situations with limited direction
Strong analytical and writing skills
Advanced research and critical thinking skills
Manage multiple matters independently and collaboratively
High discretion, attention to detail, and strong written/verbal communication
