Job Title: Production Technician
Responsibilities
Operate, support, and move materials both on and off machines using lifting techniques and hoists.
Ensure all quality objectives are met and report any unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors.
Work collaboratively within a team to meet daily production goals.
Perform machine operating, quality control, packing, inspecting, and learning various departments with flexibility.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
Mechanical aptitude and machine operating experience encouraged.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform physical demands including frequent lifting of weights over 15 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs assisted.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Interest in learning forklift operation.
Ability to work weekends and have experience in machine operation.
Understanding of production process flow and meeting goals.

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled and can be loud due to machinery. It is open and spacious, though it can become very hot, especially in summer. Workers may be expected to work 40-60 hours with fluctuations in shift demands. Candidates must be comfortable with grease, oil, and hydraulic fluids, as these are essential in metals manufacturing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.31 - $20.31/hr.
