Description : SEASONAL ROLE ends in December. Unemployment and Continued Health Benefits available during layoff season (Dec-Feb/March). Will be brought back every year or hired on full time if candidate has earned a full-time role based on performance and skills.
The performance metric is based on attendance, reliability, learning new skills, and being able to be used in multiple roles such as Labor, Maintenance, Operating, and Driving.
Requirements of Role for Seasonal Laborer: Candidates will be expected to be familiar with the use of hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, and impact drills. The work will be conducted in both a yard environment and on highways and interstate systems.
Yard:
Loading and unloading trucks with barricades, traffic cones, and barrels.
Assembling barricades.
Highway and Interstate:
- Unloading and setting up barricades, cones, barrels, and signs.
Flexibility:
- Flexibility in respect to job duties and how the day can change on short notice.
Hours:
Can be 12 hours per day, Monday - Friday.
Weekends are on a volunteer basis but sometimes candidates will be put on a rotation to work 1 Saturday or Sunday per month depending on workload.
Night Shift may also be required for some projects (5 PM - 5 AM).
Pay:
- $20 for those with construction experience, skid steer, forklift, and pulling a trailer with a truck.

Home most nights if sent out of the immediate area; some jobs will be outside of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska area by 1-2 hours.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
