Job Title: Printing Press Operator
Job Description
This role operates at the end of the printing press line to ensure that the correct colors in the machine transfer accurately to paper and that all work meets specified quality standards. The Printing Press Operator sets up and operates assigned printing equipment, reads and interprets job tickets and memos, and makes mechanical adjustments to maintain consistent print quality and color accuracy throughout each production run.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate assigned printing press equipment according to job specifications and production schedules.
Monitor the end of the press line to ensure that colors are correctly transferred from the machine to the paper.
Read and comprehend job tickets and memos to understand customer requirements, color standards, and production details.
Make mechanical adjustments to the press to maintain required quality, registration, and color consistency.
Perform light troubleshooting on the press to resolve minor mechanical or operational issues during production.
Inspect printed materials regularly to verify that quality and color meet established specifications.
Collaborate with team members and leaders to support efficient press operations and timely completion of jobs.
Follow all workplace procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe, clean, and organized production area.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience with printing press operation or similar machine operation in a production environment.
Ability to set up and adjust printing equipment to meet job specifications.
Ability to read and comprehend job tickets, memos, and basic production documentation.
Basic mechanical aptitude to make adjustments that ensure print quality and color accuracy.
Light troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve minor issues with the press.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing color, registration, and overall print quality.
Ability to distinguish and evaluate colors accurately.
Reliable, consistent work habits suitable for a structured shift schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Offset printing experience is a strong plus.
Experience specifically with offset printing presses rather than only digital printing equipment.
Previous experience in a print production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a new and growing team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, equipment, and leadership.

Work Environment
This position works on 2nd shift, typically from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent work temperature throughout the year. The environment is described as relaxed, with approachable leaders and a focus on teamwork and mutual support. Work takes place on and around offset printing presses and related equipment, requiring time spent standing, moving around the press area, and handling printed materials. The setting is a production floor where safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and print environment are expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisburg, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
