What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government services location.

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions.

• Monitor access points, observe visitor and occupant activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues in accordance with post instructions.

• Support staff, visitors, and members of the public with directions, information, and assistance while maintaining awareness of the surroundings and following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
