Job Description

We are seeking a skilled electrician to perform a variety of tasks related to installing and terminating underground or overhead primary feeders. You will be responsible for setting and wiring pad-mounted transformers, switchgear, or utility metering equipment, installing grounding and bonding systems, performing cable pulling, splicing, and terminations for medium-voltage conductors, and connecting service entrance equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install and terminate underground or overhead primary feeders.

  • Set and wire pad-mounted transformers, switchgear, or utility metering equipment.

  • Install grounding and bonding systems including ground rings, rods, and grids.

  • Perform cable pulling, splicing, and terminations for medium-voltage conductors.

  • Install and connect service entrance equipment.

  • Set up and test switchgear and switchboards.

  • Work with medium-voltage switchgear, protective relays, and metering.

  • Route and secure large conduit banks and bus duct systems.

  • Test all connections to manufacturer specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical work, including conduit installation and wire pulling.

  • Experience in industrial and commercial construction settings.

  • Ability to bend conduit and pull wire efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Current journeyman's license in Iowa or reciprocating states such as AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, or WY.

Work Environment

The work environment is a hyperscale data center consisting of seven large buildings. Safety is extremely important, and all site rules and regulations must be followed. The working hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
