Job Description
This role involves performing high‑quality MIG, TIG, and spot welding on light gauge sheet metal components, primarily stainless steel 18 gauge, for construction and fabrication projects. The welder will work closely with fabrication and installation teams to cut, form, bend, and assemble sheet metal parts while meeting strict quality, safety, and production standards.

Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding on light gauge sheet metal components, with a focus on 18‑gauge stainless steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication details to determine welding requirements and sequence of work.
Cut, form, bend, and assemble sheet metal using press brakes, shears, rollers, and appropriate hand tools.
Work with various materials including aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and cold‑rolled steel.
Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, ensuring work meets project specifications and standards.
Perform grinding, sanding, and finishing operations to achieve required cosmetic and functional results on welded assemblies.
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and accessories in safe, clean, and proper working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment while welding and handling materials.
Collaborate with fabricators, installers, and project managers to meet production timelines and support project completion.
Adapt welding techniques and setups to field conditions as needed, while maintaining quality standards.
Document or communicate any issues with materials, equipment, or drawings that may affect quality or schedule.

Work Environment
This is a full‑time, on‑site role with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work takes place on active construction sites, including large commercial projects, and requires comfort working in outdoor conditions and varying weather. The position involves hands‑on use of welding equipment, press brakes, shears, rollers, hand tools, and power tools. The welder must provide and use appropriate hand and power tools and maintain personal protective equipment at all times, including a welding hood and other required safety gear.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
