Lead Commercial HVAC Installer

Job Description

This position leads and executes commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish. You will work hands-on in the field installing complete HVAC systems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring that all work meets safety, quality, and code requirements. As the on-site lead, you will coordinate daily activities, guide installers, and maintain a well-organized and productive jobsite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute commercial HVAC installation projects from initiation through completion.

  • Serve as the on-site lead or foreman, directing HVAC installers and coordinating daily work activities.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to plan and execute installations.

  • Measure, cut, and install ductwork and piping according to specifications and project requirements.

  • Install rooftop units, air handlers, split systems, exhaust systems, and related HVAC components.

  • Oversee the installation of HVAC systems and units to ensure proper fit, function, and performance.

  • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for construction, installation, and sheet metal fabrication tasks.

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.

  • Maintain high standards for workmanship, jobsite organization, and cleanliness throughout the project.

  • Monitor jobsite safety, promote safe work practices, and support adherence to OSHA guidelines.

  • Communicate project progress, issues, and material needs clearly and promptly to project stakeholders.

  • Troubleshoot installation issues and provide practical solutions to keep projects on schedule.

  • Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

  • Support and mentor less experienced installers by providing guidance, training, and feedback.

This is a Contract position based out of Hazleton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
