Job Title: Electrical Junior Mechanic / Electrical Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking Electrical Junior Mechanics and Mechanics to perform commercial electrical work in office buildings. This role is hands‑on and includes conduit work, wiring, lighting, panel work, and troubleshooting electrical systems ranging from 120 to 480 volts. Electricians in this role work from drawings while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency on active job sites.
Responsibilities
Install and wire lighting systems, panels, boxes, outlets, and electrical devices
Run and bend conduit of various sizes to support clean, code‑compliant installations
Read and follow electrical blueprints and layouts
Pull, terminate, and label wire for power and lighting systems
Perform rough‑in work including MC and BX cable
Assist with panel wiring and branch circuits for 120–480V systems
Troubleshoot electrical issues and assist with repairs as needed
Use hand tools, cordless drills, and standard electrical equipment safely
Work with other electricians and site personnel to complete tasks efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow OSHA, NEC, and site‑specific safety requirements
Requirements
Junior Mechanic: 3–5 years of commercial electrical experience
Mechanic: 5–10 years of commercial electrical experience
Strong conduit bending and installation skills
Experience installing lighting, outlets, panels, and branch circuits
Ability to work with 120–480 volt systems
Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings
OSHA 30 required
Own basic hand tools and cordless drill
Strong safety awareness and reliabilits

Start times typically 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hicksville, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hr.
