Job Title: Saw Operator

Job Description

Our client in Bluffton operates an aluminum cast house that processes scrap aluminum by separating it into different alloys, melting it down, extruding the molten material, and producing aluminum billets/logs. They serve as a tier 3 automotive supplier. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for cutting logs and billets to customer specifications. This role requires basic math skills, computer proficiency, and forklift experience, as you will be inputting data into the computer system and moving materials around the plant. This position can be stressful, so the ideal candidate should be even-keeled and able to handle stress well.

Responsibilities

• Cut logs and billets to customer specifications using a saw.

• Input specific information into the computer system.

• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products around the plant.

• Maintain accuracy in measurements using a tape measure.

Essential Skills

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, ability to read a tape measure).

• Proficiency in computer skills.

• Forklift experience.

• Ability to handle stress and maintain an even-keeled personality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a hot, dirty environment.

• Construction or manufacturing experience.

• Steel-toed boots.

• Foundry experience (preferred).

Work Environment

The position is available for the night shift from 7PM to 7AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. The work environment can be hot and dirty, requiring the use of steel-toed boots. Employees should be prepared to handle a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bluffton, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46800.00 - $48800.00/yr.
