Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and finishing of in-process units. The main tasks include box building and box finishing. Box building involves attaching rectangular metal pieces together using tools to form the frame of the unit. Box finishing requires wrapping the unit with a cardboard box and stapling it for shipment. This role requires dexterity to reach around the unit and above one's head to complete the wrapping process.
Responsibilities
Perform simple mechanical assembly and finishing of in-process units.
Attach rectangular metal pieces together to form the frame of the unit using tools.
Wrap completed units with cardboard boxes and staple them for shipment.
Ensure quality checks and inspections are performed.
Operate saws and power tools as needed.
Perform deburring, wiring harnesses, and sheet metal work.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in a job requiring standing for at least 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week.
Ability to repetitively lift 30-40lb parts up to 50+ times per day.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ownership of steel-toed or composite-toed protective shoes.
Ability to work safely and maintain high quality standards.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a standard fabrication and assembly operation, split into two areas. The fabrication area includes a laser cutting machine, deburring and brazing stations, and workstations for hand tool tasks. The assembly area is organized but somewhat cramped due to the space taken up by units. The facility is temperature controlled, though employees may feel warm due to wearing protective arm sleeves. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, protective cut sleeves, and cut gloves. Employees must wear pants made of cotton, canvas, or denim, and avoid sweats, spandex, or nylon.

This is a Contract position based out of Noblesville, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
