Job Summary

The General Utility Worker is an entry-level role supporting production in a fast-paced meat processing facility. This position performs a variety of general labor tasks across multiple departments to help maintain safe, efficient operations and ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards.

This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who are reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a physical production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety and production standards , including GMP and HACCP guidelines

• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized production areas

• Remove product and packaging materials from floors to ensure a safe workspace

• Properly dispose of and track inedible products according to procedures

• Sort and remove trash and recycling in a timely manner

• Stage production areas with containers and supplies for upcoming shifts

• Identify and report any sanitation or safety concerns immediately

• Support general production needs across multiple areas as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in general labor, production, packing, or food manufacturing

• Experience working in food processing environments is a plus

• Ability to work safely around moving machinery and equipment

• Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments (cold and warm areas)

• Ability to work in a high-noise environment

• Willingness to learn basic equipment setup, cleaning, and adjustments

• Flexibility to cross-train and assist in various production roles

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
