Job Title: Stockroom Parts Clerk
Job Description
The Stockroom Parts Clerk manages all incoming parts, materials, and inventory for a food processing equipment manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate receiving, documentation, organization, and timely issuance of materials to support fabrication and assembly teams. The position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized individual who proactively tracks what has been received and what is scheduled to arrive, while maintaining accurate records and a safe, orderly stockroom.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming parts, materials, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
Accurately check off received items, identify discrepancies or damages, and resolve issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
Manage all shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of conformance, and other required documentation.
Label and organize parts with correct job numbers, project identifiers, and location codes to ensure efficient warehousing and retrieval.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment using proper inventory storage practices.
Pull and stage materials with a forklift for fabricators and production teams according to job requirements and production schedules.
Track and communicate incoming shipments, backorders, and material availability to production and project teams.
Perform regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in the company ERP or inventory management system.
Prepare outgoing shipments of parts or finished goods as needed, ensuring proper packaging, documentation, and accuracy.
Assist with inventory audits and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce errors and improve material flow.
Follow all company safety protocols, especially those related to food-grade manufacturing environments.
Use RF scanners or similar tools to pick, stage, and track orders as part of daily stockroom operations.
Support material handling activities to ensure timely movement of parts throughout the manufacturing facility.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, part numbers, and bills of materials (BOMs) is highly desirable.
Experience with inventory management, inventory control, and cycle counts.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Experience using RF scanners for picking, staging orders, and tracking inventory.
Hands-on experience with material handling and staging orders in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a food equipment or regulated manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ERP or other computerized inventory systems.
Experience in a large manufacturing facility or similar industrial setting.
Demonstrated ability to organize and label parts using job numbers and project identifiers.
Experience preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading and packing lists.
Comfort working with fabrication and production teams to support material needs.
Interest in learning more about food processing equipment and related manufacturing processes.

Work Environment
This role is based in a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility focused on food processing equipment. You will work on a first-shift schedule, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of weekend work and overtime depending on production needs. The environment is industrial and fast-paced, involving regular use of forklifts, RF scanners, and an ERP or inventory system to manage parts and materials. You will spend most of the day on your feet, moving between the stockroom, shipping and receiving areas, and production zones, handling materials up to 50 lbs. Safety protocols related to food-grade manufacturing are a priority, and you will follow established procedures to maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant workspace, including appropriate attire suitable for an industrial manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.34 - $32.60/hr.
