Outdoor Forklift Operator

Location: Orlando, FL

Pay Rate: $17 - $19 /hr (depending on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift 7AM - 4PM

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Occasional Saturday OT (optional)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Outdoor Forklift Operator to support material handling and logistics operations at a large industrial service and manufacturing facility. This role focuses on safely moving heavy materials, components, and crates across an outdoor yard environment, supporting production, repair, and shipping operations.

This position is critical to maintaining workflow efficiency, safety, and on‑time material movement within a fast‑paced industrial setting.

A Day in the Life

• Operate forklifts in an outdoor yard environment to transport materials, pallets, crates, and large components

• Load and unload material from flatbeds, trailers, and designated staging areas

• Stage materials accurately to support production, machining, inspection, and shipping operations

• Secure loads properly and ensure stable handling of oversized or heavy items

• Perform daily forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns

• Follow established yard traffic patterns and material flow procedures

• Communicate with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to coordinate material movement

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe outdoor work area

• Comply with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site regulations

Equipment & Environment

• Sit‑down and/or industrial forklifts

• Outdoor yard and material staging areas

• Exposure to varying weather conditions

• Handling of heavy, oversized, or high‑value industrial materials

Qualifications

• Prior forklift operating experience required (outdoor or yard experience strongly preferred)

• Ability to safely handle heavy and oversized loads

• Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
