Job Title: Panel Shop Assembler $20-$22

Job Description

The Panel Shop Assembler wires and assembles control panels for filtration systems in an industrial environment. This role works from blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials to build and complete control panels using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Wire and assemble panels for filtration systems according to engineering specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, interrelated wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials to complete control panel wiring.

  • Follow detailed instructions and documentation to ensure accurate and consistent panel assembly.

  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble and secure components.

  • Verify wiring connections and component placement against schematics and Bills of Materials.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve assembly or wiring issues as they arise.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures in the panel shop.

  • Inspect completed panels for quality, completeness, and adherence to standards before release.

Essential Skills

  • Experience wiring and assembling control panels, preferably for filtration or similar systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials.

  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly environment.

  • 1–2 years of relevant production experience, a two-year technical degree, or a combination of related experience and education.

  • Prior PLC instrumentation set-up experience.

  • Strong mechanical assembly skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately in an industrial setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechatronics or education is a plus.

  • Two-year technical degree in a related field is preferred when combined with practical experience.

  • Experience working with control systems or industrial automation equipment is beneficial.

  • Comfort working with interrelated documentation such as schematics, drawings, and Bills of Materials.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic wiring or assembly issues.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial environment with a dedicated panel shop focused on building control panels for filtration systems. Work is performed on a daytime shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. using a variety of hand tools and power tools, along with technical documentation such as blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to production standards while working around industrial equipment and electrical components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
