Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support a long-term utility-scale BESS project in Fort Morgan, Colorado . This role involves installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for large-scale battery storage equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial/industrial electrical experience and is comfortable working in fast-paced, outdoor construction environments while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test wiring and equipment for BESS systems
Work on AC/DC systems including battery racks, inverters, switchgear, transformers, and disconnects
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-lines, and schematics
Bend and install EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit
Perform grounding and bonding per NEC and project standards
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during install and commissioning
Assist with battery module installation and system integration
Mentor and support apprentice electricians
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
Follow all NEC, OSHA, and site safety requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician License (REQUIRED)
3–5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
Strong knowledge of the NEC (current edition)
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
BESS, solar, or renewable energy experience
Experience working on energized systems
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Ability to work independently or lead small crews

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.00 - $66.00/hr.
