Job Title: TIG Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Welder to join our production team specializing in Powder Metallurgy (PM), Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), and Powder Blending operations. The successful candidate will perform precision TIG welding on a variety of high-performance alloys used in powder metallurgy processes. This role requires expertise in 6G-certified welding and a commitment to the highest standards of quality and safety in a controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform precision TIG welding on high-performance alloys.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all welding operations.
Read and interpret technical drawings and weld procedure specifications (WPS).
Maintain dimensional accuracy under tight tolerances.
Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Utilize hand tools and equipment for welding and fabrication tasks.
Essential Skills
6G Welding Certification (highly preferred).
AWS Certification (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of TIG welding experience, preferably in high-temperature or high-pressure component fabrication.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and weld procedure specifications (WPS).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain dimensional accuracy under tight tolerances.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS, or equivalent welding codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in nuclear or pressure welding.
Familiarity with argon purging, autogenous welding, and alloy compatibility is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr.
