Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas.(North Dallas). In this role, you will manage financial operations and reporting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This position requires strong accounting expertise, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update general ledgers for multiple properties and entities.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for assigned properties.
• Execute month-end closing activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts such as bank statements, tenant receivables, and operating expenses.
• Record and manage rent payments, Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, and tenant reimbursements.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts for properties.
• Manage fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations for real estate assets.
• Ensure compliance with real estate accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Process and issue checks and payments efficiently and accurately.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or property management.
• Proficiency in accrual accounting and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with property management and accounting software such as Yardi or AppFolio.
• Advanced Excel skills are highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.
