Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician with solar construction experience to support an active solar project in COLORADO & WASHINGTON. This role involves installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical systems associated with photovoltaic (PV) solar installations. The Journeyman Electrician will work closely with foremen, project managers, and apprentice electricians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with NEC and local codes.
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test electrical wiring and equipment for PV solar systems
Perform DC and AC electrical work including combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, and disconnects
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and schematics
Bend and install conduit (EMT, PVC, Rigid) as required
Verify system grounding, bonding, and labeling per NEC standards
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation and commissioning
Supervise and mentor apprentice electricians as needed
Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local AHJ requirements
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
Participate in job safety meetings and follow all site safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Active Journeyman Electrician License (Washington and/or Colorado)
Minimum 1-3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
Previous solar or renewable energy project experience preferred
Strong understanding of NEC (current edition)
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
Utility-scale solar experience
Experience working on energized systems
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification - Not required
Ability to lead small crews or work independently
Work Environment & Schedule
Outdoor construction site
Full-time hours with potential overtime
Possible travel or per diem (if applicable)
Local candidates encouraged, but travelers welcome

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $61.00/hr.
