As a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading the design and development of advanced electrical systems and components. As part of a cross-functional team, you will use your technical experience in the domains of electrical design and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) to develop robust mission critical systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems and components with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of electronic products meet EMC requirements (mechanical packaging, electrical design, board layout, interconnect/grounding strategies, signal integrity, etc.)
Perform EMC analysis to aid electrical and mechanical designers to meet or exceed EMC requirements and resolve issues as needed
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools
Proficiency in EMC analysis related to EMI/EMC/lightning filtering and design at the circuit and PBA level
Experience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (examples include use of LTSpice, Mathcad, EMA3D, etc.)
WE VALUE
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Basic understanding but not necessarily mastery, of power supply, analog, digital, data bus, and RF circuits
Knowledge of RTCA DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD-810 design and compliance documents
Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Design Flow (i.e. DxDesigner, Constraint Manager, HyperLynx Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and Layout), Mathcad, Timing Designer, MS Excel, and LTSpice.
Knowledgeable in project estimation, planning, and cost and schedule management
Self-starter with ability to be self-directed and drive projects to conclusion from start to finish
Ability to effectively mentor junior engineers
