SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: 

  • Must be skilled in making recommendations to effectively resolve complex problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law. 
  • Proficiency with data analysis to identify, problem-solve, root cause, and action issues  
  • This role will require the ability to work successfully under pressure, handle multiple highly sensitive issues, competing priorities, projects, and under tight time constraints 
  • Able to work effectively with the Field distribution/warehouse leaders, Regional HRMs, Corporate leadership, and the Operations team in a collaborative manner 
  • Ability to effectively research, create, articulate, and present information to stakeholders 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within distribution, warehouse, supply chain, and/or transportation 
  • 3+ years of experience in labor relations, union avoidance, mitigation strategies, and/or unionized environments  
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills 
  • HR Certification – PHR, SPRHM, SHRM-CP/SCP preferred  
  • Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends.
