Precast Concrete Facility Seeking Quality Control Technician
Starting Pay -$26.50/hour
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Quality Control Technician I to help ensure our precast concrete products meet PCI standards and project specifications. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be involved throughout the production process—from pre‑pour inspections to material and strength testing—playing a key role in quality, safety, and compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing
Perform pre‑pour inspections , checking dimensions, reinforcement placement, strand location, and form quality
Conduct post‑pour inspections to verify finished products meet PCI standards and project requirements
Perform wet concrete testing , including slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight
Prepare, cure, and test concrete cylinders and specimens to verify strength requirements
Conduct hardened concrete and aggregate testing , including gradation and sieve analysis
Monitor cable stressing and tensioning , recording elongation data accurately
Verify proper curing of products through testing and observation
Maintain clear, accurate, and organized quality documentation and test reports
Communicate quality concerns to production teams to support quick resolution
Support quality efforts across all stages of production
Follow and enforce all safety procedures in production and field environments
What We’re Looking For
Experience in quality control or manufacturing quality , ideally in concrete, aggregate, asphalt, or similar industries
Strong attention to detail and comfort with math, measurements, and tape measures
Ability to read and understand blueprints, pour sheets, and production drawings
Hands-on experience or willingness to learn concrete and aggregate testing methods
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office for documentation
Strong communication skills and comfort working with production teams
Ability to follow standardized testing procedures and safety rules
Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a production environment
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with slump, air, unit weight, temperature, and cylinder testing
Aggregate testing experience (gradation and sieve analysis)
Familiarity with precast concrete QC processes
Experience monitoring stressing cables and elongation
Strong documentation and reporting skills

Work Schedule & Environment
Early start times (as early as 2:30 a.m.; most commonly around 5:30 a.m.)
Primarily day crew and post‑pour schedules
Typical shifts range 10–12 hours , with occasional Saturdays
Fast‑paced production and field environments
Exposure to varying conditions: wet, hot, cold, humid, and outdoor settings
Standing, walking, and moving for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts)
Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts
Strict adherence to safety protocols required
