Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires an individual with extensive experience and a detail-oriented approach, along with a strong background in financial reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and familiarity with Yardi software. Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

• Oversee the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and adjustments.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger to ensure all transactions are properly documented.

• Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

• Assist with the implementation and optimization of Yardi software for financial operations.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.

• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and consistency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to accounting systems or financial discrepancies.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and industry regulations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in account reconciliations and general accounting.

• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and ledger management.

• Strong experience with Yardi software, including implementation or optimization.

• Expertise in performing bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
