Job Title: General Laborer - Swing/Graveyard

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated General Laborers to join our team on swing and day shifts. The role involves working with grinders for inspection grinding, finish grinding, spot grinding, and all-over grinding. You will also perform various general labor activities as needed. This position requires standing up and wearing a respirator for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection grinding to ensure there are no cracks in the metal

• Conduct finish grinding, spot grinding, and all-over grinding

• Engage in various general labor activities beyond grinding tasks

• Operate machinery and handle heavy lifting

• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the workplace

Essential Skills

• Experience with grinders, manufacturing, and heavy lifting

• Ability to push and pull 75 - 100 lbs. frequently

• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction

• Ability to read a tape measure

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator or in metals and construction is preferred

Work Environment

This is a heavy industrial environment that is hot, heavy, loud, dusty, dirty, and smelly due to the furnaces used to heat up the metal. The available shifts are as follows:

Days (7am - 3:30pm),

Swing (3pm - 11:30pm), $21.5/hr.

Grave (11pm - 7:30am). $22.50/hr.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $22.50/hr.
